woah hello

the beginning

hi there! thanks for thinking me and/or my work is interesting enough to subscribe to a newsletter about it! that’s pretty epic. idk yet where i’m going with this thing, i just really like the format of a newsletter for periodically giving updates about my art to people who want that.

rats!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for reasons i cannot explain, even to myself, i crocheted 7 rats. it was a lot and i don’t think i’m gonna make more for like a long time. they’ve been a pretty good stash busting endeavor, since i have a fair amount of yarn that i have no idea what to do with. none of them have names. all of them have two tails. if that has some kind of mythical significance, let me know.

this isn’t a great picture but you get the idea. they’re just lil guys. i’m probably going to gift them to people i love, but i might try to sell some. hmu if you want the pattern! it’s by kati gálusz.

eyeball pants

ok so i’m making pants out of eyeball granny squares. i made the pattern for the squares myself, which means it is WACK, but i have a feeling it’ll come together alright and look pretty sick.

basically i’m going to need 72 of these. i have 45 already completed, and am just finishing the borders on the last 27. because of my most recent bout of depression, i haven’t really been working on them, but i’m so close to being done!!! hopefully i’ll push thru and finish in a timely manner. i’ll keep you updated…

jam’s jams

hi this is a music corner, i’ve got a playlist for you today. i tried to embed it below but idk how successful that’ll be because i do not know one single thing about code at all. (here’s just a link to the playlist lol) uh but yea it’s a playlist i made a few months ago when i was feeling super wackadoodle as a result of coming back from a terrible depression brain moment (which itself was the result of burning myself out in july from Making Too Much Art While Being Disabled And Employed). i make a brief mention of this down there in the vending section but yea i worked too hard and got really sad and then stopped pushing myself so hard and felt considerably better but also like kind of wackadoodle and the result was this playlist.

art vending

i’ve actually been selling my art at a few places, which has been kinda cool. most of them have been small scale alt rock concerts, but i’ve also vended at a lil pop up twice and an online art fair! both of those made more sales than the concerts, but i reallyyyyyy burned myself out prepping for them, especially for the online fair (it’s called the Sick and Disabled Zine and Craft Fair (@sadzcf on instagram), check them out they’re really cool). i’ve learned my lesson from that and i’m not gonna try to do anything that big for awhile (it wasn’t even that big) (i am just disabled and have very limited energy and my job takes up most of it and we were really busy around that time). anyway here’s some pics of my irl table and the stuff i’ve been selling!

as of now i don’t have any more vending plans, because i am tired.
